In 1913, the Hollow & Hare Toy Workshop shipped its final order of one hundred stuffed rabbits. Every child who received one reported the same thing: the bunnies moved at night, but only to sit closer. Each hare bears the workshop's motto, stitched beneath its heart — Consutus sed vigilans. Stitched, but watching.
